According to @Greeceinvestor, in the first 5 months of 2022, Greece’s airports have seen 14 million passengers – a boost of 377.7% compared to the same period last year that brings the country to 86% of pre-Covid numbers. Further, according to the Greek Minister of tourism, Greece will see an additional 5.7 million visitors via the Athens airport in the 2nd half of 2022. As such, the tourism season is expected to run through December and Greek authorities anticipate that arrivals will exceed 2019’s numbers, when the country saw 30 million arrivals and €18.1 billion in revenues.
